Corey Pemberton

Corey is a native Texan, born and raised in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He graduated with a B.A. from the University of Miami in 2007, where he majored in English and Criminology. Reluctant to leave the beach but tired of the hurricanes and South Florida traffic, he returned to Texas to pursue his law degree. While he was in law school, Corey pursued his commitment to public service through jobs at the Travis County Attorneys’ Office and doing policy work with state Senator Carlos Uresti. Corey received his juris doctorate from the University of Texas Law School in May 2011.
His professional interests center on the interaction between law and regulatory policy, and in particular, efforts to keep the legal regime in line with rapidly-changing technology. He pursues these interests at Mueller Law through his work on the firm’s complex products liability caseload, where he helps out with research, discovery, and drafting various legal memoranda.
Corey’s hobbies include sports, live music, politics, film, literature, good food, writing short stories, and playing the guitar. Above all else, he enjoys outdoor recreation and enjoying all that Austin and the hill country have to offer.
