Litigation Team

Intake is the initial point of contact for any person inquiring about birth related or medical malpractice injuries, and it is our priority to make sure all potential clients are comfortable talking to our staff about personal issues related to their experiences.

 

Once all the pertinent information required for each potential client is obtained, our attorneys and medical staff can make an informed assessment for each case.

When a case is accepted by the firm, then the client’s case is assigned to a nurse consultant and a litigation paralegal.  The nurse consultant’s time is spent on medical research, collaboration with medical experts and attorneys, investigation of defense experts as to their credibility and preparation of exhibits and strategies for trial.  The litigation paralegal works closely with the nurse consultant and attorney in moving the case through the court system as well as assisting with the drafting of pleadings, preparation for depositions, hearings, mediation and trial.  In addition, the litigation paralegal is responsible for developing and maintaining a very close relationship with our clients.  The litigation paralegal is responsible for explaining the legal process to the client and answering any questions that they may have.  This relationship is important to us, and we want the client to feel that we are there for them as a friend and advocate.
