Ron Karz

Ronald Karz is an attorney with 30 years in practice and more than 10,000 court appearances.

His diverse base of experience includes serving the public for more than 13 years as a deputy district attorney for Los Angeles County, California, and as senior attorney responsible for interstate and international support enforcement matters for Santa Clara County, California.

He has 14 years of experience in inter-jurisdictional law, including interpretation and application of foreign law and court orders from countries as varied as Australia, Germany, Hungary, Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom. He is an acknowledged expert on the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act, and has taught continuing legal education to other attorneys on the subject.

In addition, Karz coedited a procedural manual for the State of California for determining controlling child and spousal support orders when conflicting orders from different states or countries exist. Working at different times for two of California’s largest counties, Karz litigated thousands of interstate and international support enforcement cases.

After leaving public service, Karz supervised new case development for one of California’s premier plaintiff’s firms, Kabateck, Brown, Kellner, LLP (KBK). At KBK, Karz worked directly with the principal partner on the development of new cases. He has worked on a variety of complex issues, including cases involving compensation for victims of genocide, consumer class action concerning deceptive advertising, and employee rights litigation.
